Time can be re-written.
Famous last words by the one whom few called The Doctor, and many called the destroyer of time and space itself.
There was a time when the word doctor meant ‘to heal and not harm’; it was carried by a man as a title and to mask his real name and origins from the universe. This man was so great, so powerful, moving through time and space on a mission to care for planets and species, dedicated to making things better in the lives of others, until one day after so many hundreds of years it all came to an end. After losing people he cared about time and time again, the pain and loss he had suffered for so long finally consumed his very soul and he became the very nightmare he had been fighting against all those years before.
This was the time of reckoning, the time where The Doctor laid down his fist and say ‘No more’. His companions begged him to reconsider, for the consequences of what he was about to do could not even be imagined, but their words would not quell the rage inside of the distraught timelord. The Doctor had lost everything, and just as he had thought it could get no worse, one man, his polar opposite came back into his life and in one sweep of his hand destroyed what was left of his love of life and humanity.
A Stitch in Time, is an active play-by-post and friendly Dr Who/Torchwood RPG set in the present day, revolving around what would happen if The Doctor became the beast he fought so hard against causing time and space itself to collapse. Get set for a thrilling and rocky ride on whichever side you choose, and don't forget the bananas, because bananas are good!
