DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Not normally seen, but she has a long scar down the right side of her torso from a bad alleyway encounter.
HAIR: Brown

POWERS:Rose has the power of telekinesis. They first manifested in a classroom in high school, eight weeks after her fifteenth birthday. Her history teacher had just embarrassed her for falling asleep in class. She was wishing horrible destruction and pain to his soul, or at least something to hit him very hard. Suddenly, the globe she was glaring at flew across the room and hit her teacher on the head. Nobody else could come up with a logical explanation, except that it was some freak accident. Only Rose realized fully what had happened.
Rose's power is Kinetic. She imagines it in her own way that helps her control her powers better. Here's how she thinks of it: It's like Rose has this ginormous, unlimited store of extra energy in her brain. To move things, she send out energy into the object and tells it where to go. That is how she imagines it. She can move stuff with her eyes, or with a hand motion, though she has to be looking at it to move it, obviously. Using her power for an extended period of time, or sending too much at any given moment, can weaken her, which is not good, because she loves to use her powers.
Something interesting is that her power also helps her fight better, without the telekinesis part. Want to know why? When Rose fights, all her senses and instincts are basically on steroids. This means that her powers become like a little ADD puppy barking to get out. That also means that her imagined store of energy is shaking and begging to be used. So, when she can't use her powers, she channels her power energy into her body, and it helps her by giving her enhanced reflexes, speed, durability and sometimes strength. Now, it doesn't give her anything like any Physical powers, but it helps.
do as you please shame will follow !
LIKES: sarcasm, fighting, her powers, chocolate, reading, working as a bartender, friendships with guys, running, roses, t-shirts and jeans, watermelon
DISLIKES: peppy people, spoiled brats, arrogant people, drama (especially among girls), movies, knives, cooking, post offices, school, her birth parents
STRENGTHS: doesn't trust easily (makes it harder to fool her), advanced fighting skills, has pretty good survival instinct, doesn't break easily, can fend for herself
WEAKNESSES: doesn't trust easily (makes it harder to make friends), sometimes her survival and fighting skills make her jumpy, has a really quick temper, can get carried away when using her powers, chocolate
GOALS: do something heroic with her powers (and not get a big head about it), survive, figure a way to use her powers for longer without getting weaker
FEARS: knives (bad fighting experience), losing control (of her powers or temper), dying without a fight, losing all her energy in a fight
HABITS: fidgeting with things (her hands always have to be doing something), making a big deal out of small things, compulsive running or fighting (when she's stressed or agitated)
OVERALL PERSONALITY:Rose is an interesting specimen. All her life, she has been a hard person. Every since she knew that she was abandoned by her birth parents, she has never trusted people. She thought if the people who gave birth to her didn't even want her, than nobody does and every will. It takes months of knowing a person that Rose can actually start to like them, if they are pleasing to her. However, if she is annoyed or doesn't like somebody because of first impressions, she doesn't even bother with the getting to know them better. If Rose doesn't not like you, Rose does not bother with you. If Rose knows you are against her, she does what she can to get rid of you. That can go from avoiding you to physically taking you down. Don't get on her bad side.
Rose can be happy. She really can. But it is mostly her own doing, or unless she is really relaxed. Usually, she is relaxed at work as a bartender. She enjoys conversing with the drunk people. They make her laugh because she doesn't have to do much talking, and she loves watching people making a fool of themselves. Other things that make her happy include winning in a fight, using her powers and a good book. She is really sarcastic. It saves her from real conversation if she wants to, and it also helps her block unwanted criticism and/or questions.
If you get to know Rose, she has a sense of humor, but it stems from her sarcasm. She enjoys jokes if they are not at her expense. Rose likes making fun of people, and isn't afraid to do it to their face. The benefit of not trusting people easily is that she is not afraid of making enemies.
As I said, Rose is an interesting specimen. Her mood can change on you in a flash.
you'll always take them for granted !

FATHER: adopted father: Xavier Graham, 50, orthodontist
SIBLINGS: adopted sister: Kim Graham, 21, model
OTHER: none known
PETS: she never cared for animals
HISTORY:Rose's story starts out as many of the “Rags to Riches” stories do. She was left on the doorstep of a rich young couple in a cardboard box on a rainy night with a note that said: Her name is Rose Nichole. Please take good care of her. The young couple who received the baby had a child of the same age. It was a good thing they were compassionate, because they took her in happily. The doctor had told them their baby would most likely be their only child, and since Carol was a model, they had already figured out one pregnancy was all they could spare. Now, having a child handed to them was a blessing. (Also, they had a feeling it was the baby of some struggling friends.)
The young couple raised the little orphaned girl as they did their own child, with love and adoration. But from the moment Rose could comprehend things, she knew she was different; she knew she wasn't part of the family. Her mother, her adopted mother, was tall, blond and gorgeous, and it was obvious her sister, her adopted sister, would grow up to be the same. Even the dad was remarkably handsome. Then there was Rose. She was small, brunette, and not anything extraordinary. From that moment, she realized that the people who had gave birth to her abandoned her, and it changed her. It hardened her. It made her think less and less of the world. Her adopted parents were nice and rich, yes, but that didn't mean Rose was happy. She turned bitter, with no real want of friends. People didn't like her—that was always her thoughts. If her own birth parents didn't want her, who else did. No pleads from her adopted parents helped.
The only real friend she had was Kim, her sister. Though Kim was extremely girly and outrageously popular, she had an intimate friendship with Rose. They talked about everything, and Kim was Rose's confidante. She could tell her everything, from how she thought the world hated her to how she really hated school. Kim was the sort of friend that only comforted if you wanted her to. She listened intently and gave her advice freely and bluntly. Though they shared no interests, they were best friends. When Kim started dance lessons at age 5, Rose started fighting lessons.
Rose, though her parents tried to convince her, never wanted to dance. She thought prancing around in silly costumes was worthless. No, she wanted to fight. Her parents gave in, and enrolled her in as many lessons as she wanted, which was a lot. Rose is a quick learner and she quickly embraced fighting. It was a way to get all her anger out in the form of actually being allowed to hit people. All her life, she continued to learn how to fight, taking up to five different classes at a time. She loved to learn all forms of how to beat people up.
Eight weeks after her fifteenth birthday, she was falling asleep in her history class when a ruler slammed near her desk. Her history teacher looked down at her over his hideously hooked nose and basically mocked her in the teacher way. The class was laughing. Nobody really liked Rose because Rose didn't really like anybody. Rose didn't cry when embarrassed, she just got really, really angry. The teacher went back to the board and continued to lecture on the ancient Egyptians. Rose was glaring at a globe on a filing cabinet five feet to his left. She was really wishing something would hit the teacher in the head when suddenly the globe flew off the cabinet and bashed the teacher in the head, leaving him with a serious concussion. Nobody could really explain it. Rose only hoped she had done it by some special way.
You see, here's something about Rose. She loved to be really good at fighting, but all her life she wanted to be even more special than “the top student”. She had read those cheesy comic strips and imagined herself flying over buildings and smashing through walls. She had read about telekinesis. If she had it, her dreams would start to be fulfilled.
For the first time in her life, she was lucky. She didn't know about a year later, when it happened again in a karate class. It continued to appear now and then, no matter how hard she tried to make it happen at will. It was when she was getting closer to seventeen when a man something happened to her. She had had a late class, and was cutting through an alley to get home faster. She was jumped by a guy with a knife. He surprised her, and had sliced her down the right side of her torso. It badly injured her fighting, because it was kind of painful and distracting, when she suddenly flung the guy, who was about five feet away, against the wall. (We can very safely assume it was with her powers.) When she turned around to go out of the alleyway (she hated cabs, but she needed one), she saw a leg of a man disappearing from the end of the alleyway. She was slightly confused, but forgot because the pain in her side.
The cut left a scar. She had gone to the hospital, got it patched up, was fretted over by her parents. She told them she had stumbled and fell against an exposed steel wire on a building. Not very believable, but it worked.
A week later, she was approached by a man. She was instantly wary (he had scars and looked like he'd been through a lot), but he started telling her that he saw what she did in the alleyway. He saw her powers. Rose was scared, but then she was told about a school for people like her. He said he'd been. She was intrigued, and she wanted to go. There was nothing left for her in New York. Kim was going on her own path to be a model, and they wouldn't be together much. She convinced her parents, there was this whole ordeal, and Rose was sent to the gifted school.
She didn't like it much, but that is because she is Rose. She didn't like to be surrounded by other people with powers, even though she was able to fully develop hers. When she was given the opportunity to go to college, she declined, but she decided to stay in the area. She knew about the hunters, and the risks, but she had suddenly decided she wanted to live life on the edge. If she died, whatever, she wouldn't be leaving anything behind. But for now, she wants to see how long she can make it. Her whole life has become a game for her, biding her time between fights on the money her adopted parents feed her.
Oh Rose.
(For admin: if any of the facts are crazy wrong, just tell me and I'll fix it. I kinda got carried away. Ha.)

NAME: Audrey, darling. Mostly just Aud. Or Aud-ball. Whatever tickles your fancy.
AGE: (if I tell you, I'd have to kill you). Just kidding. 21
EXPERIENCE: 7ish years
DISCOVERY: Through an add on proboards support. It helped that you had “Original Gifted RP” on the side (or whatever it said).
OTHER CHARACTERS: None. Yet.
CODE WORD: “like a boss !”
RP SAMPLE: (it's from a shifter site)The forest was alive all around. Little insects chirping, the soft crackle of bushes as night predators stalked their prey. Underground, there must have been hundreds of little animals curled up in nights slumber. Overhead an owl called softly into the night, the took off in soundless flight. The forest was still full of life during the night as it was during the day. But the gray wolf, tensed in the middle of the forest, noticed none of it.
It was coming. The adrenaline pulsing through the wolf's body was focusing on one thing: the other wolf. Sharp claws were flexing in the soft soil, one word was flashing in the brain: threat. They had no pack, no family to protect, nobody to protect but themselves--but that was enough. This lone wolf only cared for itself.
Then it appeared. The other wolf. A wolf as dark as the night they were standing in, with bright wild eyes. It was already poised to fight, something not surprising. A wolf's first instinct upon coming another wolf was to kill the threat. Both of them felt it. No human feeling was shoving it's way to the front right now. Blockading anything else but protect--destroy. Another low growl rolled between the wolf's teeth.
Within a second of it's appearance, the black wolf lunged. It was aimed for the throat, but with a movement at the last second, only came in contact with the shoulder, biting down hard. The other wolf, the Rose wolf, let out a loud howl into the night. All sane thoughts, any sensible thoughts, fled. It was now a fight. Trying to twist out of the deathly grip was worthless. Reaching around blindly with one paw, the gray wolf found contact with the other wolf and raked its claws in in its side. It gave time to get out of it's grip, and the gray wolf quickly did just that. It quickly jumped a few feet away, but turned around just as fast. Never turn your back on an enemy.
This is madness! Rose, the human Rose, screamed from somewhere in the back of the brain. She was banging on the cage she had been confined to, insisting, begging, pleading to be let out and stop this insanity, this worthless mess that would end badly for both of them. What was worse, she knew it would end bad for her and her wolf. It was obvious they were no match for this wolf and it's wild eyes. But nothing would listen to the worthless girl and eventually it was exhausted, slumping and giving up the the wolf, only seconds before the black wolf lunged again.
